Who I am

Liliam Montilla — known simply as Liliam — was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and raised in New York City. She earned a B.F.A. in Acting from Nazareth University, where she also served as Student-Body President.

From the stage to the boardroom, she has built brands and led operations across artificial intelligence, film, entertainment, finance, real estate, and beyond — always finding value where others see complexity.

Today she runs Employee AI — the first AI agency in the Bronx, New York.

The Journey

Where I've Been

…and where I am now.

"Liliam Montilla in Nazareth" (or a stage/acting photo)
The origin — training as an actor.
The Beginning · Nazareth University

A stage kid from Santo Domingo

Born in the D.R., raised in NYC, a B.F.A. in Acting — where the discipline of performance became the foundation for everything after.

2021 · Student-Body President, Nazareth University

Elected to lead — and built to last

While working three jobs and acting on stage, she led the student body with a five-point plan for life after graduation — launching Financial Fridays and rallying a campus-wide COVID petition that moved grading policy.

Voice · Activism & Advocacy

Leading from the front

She organized and led marches, and connected with student leaders across New York State — turning a campus platform into real momentum for the people around her.

2021–2022 · Film & Screen

On camera

Her film season — roles in independent films (including one executive-produced by Meryl Streep), an HBO short, Keep the Leap (2022), and Netflix — with premieres at LALIFF and the New York Latino Film Festival.

2022–2023 · Sisters of Saint Joseph

The people who raised me up

After the cameras, she went to live with the Sisters of Saint Joseph — women she will be grateful for as long as she lives. They took her in. They mentored her. They cared for her. They raised her up while she earned her financial licenses, and they loved her through every step of it.

Thank you — truly, deeply, forever. For everything. I would not be who I am without you.

On Set · National Commercials

In front of the brands

National commercial work for Circul and Yale — carrying the craft from festival screens into the commercial world.

2023 · Equitable Advisors

Four licenses, on pace for #1

She earned four financial licenses and became a financial advisor at Equitable Advisors — on pace to become the firm's #1 female advisor. Then she walked away to build something of her own.

2024 · Founding Employee AI

Building the future of work

She launched Employee AI — one of the first AI employment agencies — turning a performer's instinct for people into a company.
